Morning Dip in the Sea: #6 in the streak π
The Night Before: Dublin Adventures π
I went to bed late last night after a rather exhausting day. The mission? Collecting Helen from Dublin during rush hour π¬.
What should have been a 4-hour round trip stretched into 6 hours, with traffic claiming two precious hours of our time π‘.
Thank goodness for our Tesla Model 3 Highland’s semi-autonomous features, which made the journey considerably more bearable. (Have I mentioned how much I love my electric car? That’s definitely deserving of its own dedicated post!)
The Sleep Struggle π΄
My Apple Ultra watch didn’t bring good newsβa mere 3 hours and 28 minutes of sleep.
Beyond the draining drive, there was a touch of guilt keeping me awake.
You see, I’d planned to transform our living-room-turned-temporary-office back to its proper state before Helen’s return, and convert one of the rooms used for storage into a proper office space.
But in those two and a half days she was away, the unseasonably warm October weather proved too tempting.
I found myself outside, enjoying the beach, testing drones, and cycling instead of tackling the indoor organisation.
Morning Motivation: The Streak Continues π
Despite crawling into bed at 4 am, my previous good habits kicked in. Within minutes of waking, I was ready and out the door, heading towards the waves.
No drone footage today thoughβthe beach wasn’t just mine this morning.
Two wonderful ladies were enjoying their regular swim when I arrived. We exchanged friendly waves (wave π you see (sea) what I did there π) as I completed my sixth consecutive sea dip π.
The Beautiful Contrast β¨
When Helen needed to visit a work colleague in Waterford, I jumped at the chance to drive. Despite yesterday’s exhausting journey, I still love getting behind the wheel of our Tesla.
Plus, there’s something special about chauffeuring my wife so she can relax and enjoy the countryside views.
Nature’s Reward π
And what a reward we got!
The journey blessed us with a spectacularly vibrant rainbow. At times, we were driving through its very base, watching it shimmer across our windscreen. Sharing such a magical moment made it even more special.
We didn’t find the pot of gold, but it was equally rewarding π₯°.
Taking the scenic route via the Passage East Ferry provided the perfect contrast to yesterday’s Dublin traffic.
What a difference a day makesβfrom stop-start frustration to serene water crossings and rainbow chasing.
Have you ever experienced such contrasting days?
Or perhaps you’ve had your own magical rainbow moment?
