Unlike England, there’s no council tax in Ireland – which means you organise your own refuse collection. Whilst this might sound like a faff, I actually think it’s brilliant because it makes you far more conscious of the waste you produce. What’s really blown me away is Panda’s comprehensive recycling programme – they even accept soft plastics like bread bags and crisp packets, something unheard of back in Ashtead!
